We design our processes to manage variations systematically, following 21 CFR Part 111, the FDA's cGMP rule for dietary supplements. Our approach focuses on three core areas:
- Supplier Qualification & Specifications: We partner with trusted suppliers and set detailed Certificate of Analysis (CoA) requirements for every raw material. These specs define acceptable ranges for potency, color, particle size, and moisture.
- Incoming Material Testing: Every batch of raw materials (gelatin, pectin, vitamins, flavorings) is quarantined on arrival. Our in-house lab runs identity, purity, and potency tests against the agreed specs before any material is released.
- Production Standardization: Our manufacturing processes are calibrated for typical variances. This includes precise batching, controlled cooking environments, and real-time monitoring to ensure the final gummy meets our standards for dose, texture, and stability.
Corrective Actions for Consistent Final Product
When a raw material batch falls within specification but differs slightly from previous shipments, our production team applies standardized adjustments. For example:
- If gelling agent strength varies, we adjust cooking time or temperature.
- We blend subtle color or flavor differences during mixing to keep the sensory profile consistent.
- For potency variations in active ingredients, we recalculate the master batch formula so each gummy delivers the precise label claim.
A batch that fails incoming testing never reaches this point. It stays quarantined, is rejected and returned to the supplier, and the rejection triggers a documented corrective action before we accept the next shipment.
That systematic approach means every batch of gummies is as consistent as the last. Brands and consumers get the reliability they expect.
The Records Behind Every Batch
Every finished lot carries a paper trail any client can review: the CoA for each ingredient used, the batch production record with its batching and cook settings, the test results supporting each quarantine release, and reserve samples of the finished gummies.
