In the U.S., a kids multivitamin gummy is a dietary supplement under FDA cGMP rules, 21 CFR 111. That means specifications for identity, purity, strength, composition, and contaminant limits are not optional.

Kids products also need age-specific labeling. A gummy meant for children 4 and up shouldn't borrow the adult Daily Value format. Serving size, piece count, and directions all have to match the intended age group.

Because gummies look like candy, packaging has to make clear it's a supplement and include warnings about keeping out of reach of children and not exceeding the recommended serving. If iron is in the formula, packaging and safety requirements get even stricter.
