A desiccant doesn't fix it, either. The desiccant just becomes another participant in the moisture exchange. If the gummies are mismatched, a desiccant can pull unevenly and make the problem worse.

A personalized pack may look like a simple collection of gummies, but once sealed it behaves like one micro-ecosystem. Ingredients can interact through shared moisture and headspace even if the gummies never touch.
Acidic formulations can destabilize pH-sensitive nutrients. Trace minerals can accelerate oxidation nearby. Botanical pigments can shift color as pH drifts. Encapsulated actives can behave differently when moisture migrates from an adjacent gummy. Each gummy might pass its own stability panel and still fail inside the combined pack.

Inside each gummy, actives are deposited and tested individually. But the finished label claim is often for the composite serving. That means you need to understand potency for every cavity, not just the batch average. You also cannot pick the expiration date based on the most stable gummy. If Pack #1042 contains one gummy from Lot A-210, two from Lot B-045, and one from Lot C-778, your quality system must trace all three lots to that exact pack. If a component lot fails later, you need to know every pack that contains it.
Most batch-record systems are built for single-SKU finished goods. They are not built for mixed-lot assemblies. Then we test the most aggressive pairs in the intended package. If the worst-case pair holds, the lower-risk combinations are far more likely to hold. If it doesn't, we redesign before launch.
This is not a standard off-the-shelf protocol. It is systems engineering for a product that is inherently variable.
Tooling for packs that never repeat
Personalized packs are not uniform. One pack may hold two gummies. Another may hold four. Shapes, colors, and sizes change. Standard stick-pack or flow-wrap equipment is designed for single-SKU production, not variable assemblies.
Personalization requires modular cavity tooling, robotic pick-and-place, or vision-guided assembly. Changeover time becomes a real cost driver.
